We have a girls name, but just can't decide on a boys.
What to do when we don't agree on a boys name?
Maci Claire is cute

How we found a name
We both made a list of names that we liked, and we thought the other would like. One name was on each list. The trick is what we thought the other would like, that we liked
So if you love John, and he hates John, John should not be on the list
Good luck
Reply:I would agree, wait until you see the baby. You don't HAVE to name the child as soon as he or she slides out. You could wait several months if you wanted to, so get to know his or her personality. Almost no one actually calls their young babies by their given name anyway... when talking directly to them, they use nicknames/silly words, and when talking about them, they usually say "the baby..." So you're in no rush.
Reply:I told my man since the baby get's his last name I get to pick the first name whether he likes that or not... I just made sure he liked the name. The name you choose always fits the baby. My man when we thought it was a boy was picking horrific names like ratimus, ceaser, achilies, I told him he kept it up and when the baby's born I'd scribble down what I like on the birthcertificate before he could even do anything. lol
Reply:What we did was each of us picked - I picked the first name, and my husband picked the middle name.
Also, we only used names that both of us agreed on. If I LOVED a name and hubby didn't like it at all, then we didn't have it on the list. My first name choice had to be at least liked by hubby, and his middle name choice had to at least be liked by me. No hated names were part of this baby's name. My husband's favorite choice was Calvin. I thought it was okay. It made the list. My favorite name didn't even make the list because hubby hated it. I liked Ethan a LOT, and hubby liked it, too. It made the list, and became our son's first name.
I believe the word here is COMPROMISE.
Reply:My husband and I split the name. We both came up with 2 choices each for the first and the middle name. One of us got the first name, and the other got the middle name. My son, John Charles is named after his Daddy's brother first, and my Grandpa second! We call him JC. Good luck and Congratulations!
Reply:You come up with the first name and your partner comes up with the second? That usually works in most instances.
Or, what you can both do is write down a name you both are ALRIGHT with and just draw it out of a hat, lol
Good Luck! :)
Reply:Wait untlil you see the baby, find a new name, compromise, or draw out of the hat.
Or do a poll, see what we pick!
=] xx
