Does this name sound more like a girl or boys name?

Alright so I have a little girl already and her name is Jadeyn Nichole (please dont comment on her name) well I named her so I told my husband that he could name this baby I am 18 weeks pregnant. He wants to name our baby, if its a boy Urijah Christopher. I was just wondering what everyone thinks about this name?

Please dont be rude and thank you in advance!

Does this name sound more like a girl or boys name?
I really think it sounds like a boy name! I have a friend with the same name but it is spelled Uriah. I also like the name Christopher!! (That is my brother's name)

And if I could comment on your little girl's name I would tell you how much I love it.

Anywho, I think your husband picked out a good name...

GOOD LUCK!!

Reply:Please dont take this personal but why give a child a name people are going to have a hard time to pronounce...I work with kids and I really feel sorry for the one's who have names that are very unique.. Yes I think it is awesome to have a cool name but just make it something others can pronounce.. Your daughter, I know you ask not to comment, but that is a beautiful name Jadeyn Nichole it would be nice to keep their names on the same level like maybe having his/her first and middle name start with the same letter as hers.. Well congrats on the new addition to your family I wish you all a bless life..
Reply:I suppose it depends on what you think of Uriah the Hittite, the husband of Bathsheba and soldier in King David's army (II Samuel 11). He was loyal to his king despite the king's perfidy. Christopher means Christ-bearer. Both are good, solid names.I like that you're pronouncing the 'j' in Urijah as 'y'.
Reply:I think it is a fantastic name for your little boy, for 2 reasons! 1. your husband likes the name, 2.)the name should be special and unique because your son will be special and unique and one of a kind, for that's how God wanted it to be, just like your daughter is special!
Reply:Urijah? Wow, let's hope you'll have a girl, because this name is pretty bad.

Why is there a J in it? Uriah is pronounced Yu-rey-ah, Urijah would be Yu-rye-jah. Or would you pronounce Elijah Ee-lie-ah? No, it's Ee-lie-jah.

I would not let my partner pick a name I don't like (and let's face it, your son won't either). If he absolutely insists on it, make a compromise and use Christopher Urijah instead.
Reply:It's not that bad, BUT any name beginning with "Uri" I can guarantee you any 7-year-old kid will be quick to associate with "urine". Then again, kids will find a way to make fun of anyone's name in any way they can. It's inevitable, it's what kids do.

I agree with those who say Elijah would be better, but Elijah happens to be my favorite boy's name.
Reply:It sounds biblical (dunno if it acutally is, but sounds like it). While I'm not a big fan of biblical (or biblical sounding) names, I like this one.

I also really like Uriel, which this is sort of simmilar to.

The only problem I have with it is the spelling. It looks like it will be hard for people, and probably even the kid, to spell.

Definily a boy's name.
Reply:For a kick off you spell it URIAH - personally it reminds me of a nasty Dickensian character called Uriah Heap, or else the substance urea. Neither is at all good.

Christopher is, however, lovely.

Also what on earth is Jadeyn supposed to be?
Reply:If you have to ask, you should already know the answer. To be completely honest with you, the first thing that came to mind was urethra and "vj" together.
Reply:One of my boy names is Elijah Christopher (and Liam Christopher). So this is really similar and I think it flows well.

Congrats and good for you for letting him pick. That's very nice.
Reply:to be honest, i dont know how you pronounce it...

how about ellijah christopher?

please vote!

Reply:I was confused by the spelling...but when i got to the name i fell in love with it. I like the name a lot! But, I'd suggest a simpler spelling if there is one.

Congrats! xoxo
Reply:Spell it Uriah otherwise they will pronounce it like Elijah.

It is a cute, uncommon name and I like it.
Reply:I am not too crazy about Urijah as a first name...Christopher is good though...how about switch the names??

and your little girl's name is cute
Reply:Urijah--it's not bad at all. Definately unique--sounds like a take on Elijah, which is of course a Biblical name--go for it!
Reply:I like it. And your could go with Uri or Chris for short.

It sounds very masculine and professional which will be good as he gets older.
Reply:VERY unusual.
Reply:How is that first name pronounced?

Thanks for clarifying. Definately sounds like a boy.
Reply:It sounds like a boys name to me!:) I like it its different.
Reply:It's a boy name for sure.
Reply:it sounds like a boy name and i don't like it. Elijah would be alot better
Reply:Sounds like a boys name
Reply:I guess it could be worse. It actually flows well and is kind of cute. You could call him Yuri for short
Reply:Sounds like a boys name.....and I don't really like it sorry
Reply:I think its just fine.
