Do you view Logan as a boys name or a girls name?

I love the name Logan for a boys name. My husband and I love the name Logan Lyle its a boy; however I fear that its becoming more of a girls name than a boys. what do you think? Thanks for answering!

I prefer it as a boy's name. I know a Logan, he was the coolest dude, back in the day. Go ahead and give your son the name Logan, and hopefully he'll be as charismatic as my best friend from 3rd grade.

I can see how you feel that it's becoming more of a girl's name though. It's because everybody wants to be "different" and "unique" and unisex names are becoming more and more popular. I say name your son Logan... it was a boys name first, before the girls came and stole it.

I think it's absolutely tragic how people are converting masculine boys names into girls names like Logan, Blake, Ryan, Jaden and Hayden. Soon there will be no boys names left.





If I came across a girl with a boys names, I'd be thinking that secretly the parents wished for a boy and couldn't accept that they had a girl
Reply:Darling--With all the changes in the World today (due to bombs and bullets), anyone concerned with your childs name is someone you should not be concerned about. I forgot the name of the male singer but years ago a song came out and one of the lines was, "My name is Sue, how do you do?" I've got an Uncle Toe and an Uncle Bus. No one in our family thinks anything about it. That;s just the name we call them.
Reply:BOY NAME... I obviously think this because my son's name (8 mo. old) is LOGAN WESLEY! I know an older lady has the name Logan on a popular soap, but she's like 40 (which is so un-thought-out since it's more of a recent trend to name girls boy-ish names like Taylor and Jordan). But when I was asking around, no one actually knew anyone by the name Logan (even though it was so high on the list for top boy names, 2007) expect....... Wolverine from X-Men (who is one studly manly man, played by actor Hugh Jackman).
Reply:I think that people can use it either way. Logan Lyle is fine because Lyle is definitely a male name. If you were going to use 2 names that could go either way, such as Logan Alex, it may be different. But I think you are fine.
Reply:Boy. It's one of my son's names, though when he was born, the woman 2 rooms down from me had a baby girl named Logan. Now a days it seems like every other name is considered "unisex".

Whatever. I know a boy named Leslie, and my name isn't exactly 'gender' oriented, so whatever you choose, it's fine.
