I'm expecting and want to name him before he pops out!

If it were just up to me, I would say William Christopher or Alexander Christopher, because those are the top 3 names from your list that I love :-)





However - since the decision has nothing to do with me, I'm going to recommend Alexander Christopher - that way you get to honor both your brother and your hubby! It gives a whole lot of meaning and personal significance to the name.





Plus, Alexander is a good, strong, masculine, classic name with a lot of nickname potential. This gives both the child and adult options (ex. If he is called Xander while growing up, he may decide to switch to Alex or Alexander etc. as a sign that he has transitioned over to adulthood).





I love a name with personal meaning. I am named after a grandmother I was never able to meet, and I treasure the connection. We named our oldest son after my hubby's best friend and used hubby's/daddy's name as his middle name - I hope that he feels the connection and loves his name as much as I do mine!





However - every name on your list is fantastic! They are all classic, masculine names that will easily last a lifetime...

Reply:Those are all nice names, but I like Joseph Christopher and Henry Christopher the best. Joe Morrison is a good masculine name for a man. And with Henry, you get a variety of nicknames -- Harry, Hal, Hank -- all of which work well with your surname.

I'd have to go with one of your second places, Joseph. He could then have that option of being called J.C..

Reply:All the names sound good. The question is whether any of the names have significance to you. In other words, are you honoring a family member or friend by using their name. My kids names honor my deceased brother and father-in-law (middle names).

Reply:I like Joseph, Harry and William. Traditionally Harry is a shortened form of Henry (Prince Harry's name is Henry) so if you liked both you could use Henry but call him Harry.
