Do you think Cubby (for a new puppy) a girls name or a boys name?

I was thinking of names to name a puppy I am getting in July and she is a girl. What do you think of Cubby?

Do you think Cubby (for a new puppy) a girls name or a boys name?
Cubby? it sounds awsome for a boy name, girl notso much u dont want ur baby gurl having life crisis later and hate u 4 giving her a boy name!!! lol. but if its a boy its so awsome and kool!!!
Reply:It sounds like a boys name at first, but it only takes a few seconds to get used to the fact its a girl's name, it's note like "Tom" or anything. That's an adorable name by the way.
Reply:it sounds like a boys name..i just got a puppy today. a girl. shes a yorkie, 2 months old, and we named her mia
Reply:I think it is for a guy i think it is cute name

Which spelling is better for a boys middle name?

I am naming my son Jovaun. The middle name is a unisex name. What is the best way to spell it for a boy? Amari, Amarii, or Amarei?

Which spelling is better for a boys middle name?
Depending I guess on how it's pronounced. If it's Am-are-ee than I like the spelling Amari. But if it's pronounced like Am-er-eye, like rhyming with Samurai, I think it would be nice if you just took away the "s" to reduce confusion of how it would be pronounced. Like Amurai. Good luck! Jovaun's quite cute.
Reply:I think Amari looks a lot better and would save from some confusion. It gets the point across- in a sense. No need to muss it up with letters that arn't needed. And it just looks better. Jovaun Amari. Cute!

Great name :)
Reply:First of all mam, you spell it any way you wish to spell it, anyway you do it will be right; but if you want my opinion I would spell it:Amari. May God Bless You %26amp; your family!
Reply:I like Amari since Jovaun is already pretty unique, I think kids would be less likely to tease him if he has a name that's somewhat familiar. BTW, I love the name Jovaun - pronounced JOVAN?
Reply:I like Amarei. The "ei" gives it a great look and definition, hehe.

I think Amarei looks really nice, along with Jovaun :)
Reply:Get your child ready early in his life for people giving him grief over your made up name. If you love your child give him a name he will be comfortable in the world with. It is HIS name not yours.

We can't agree on a baby boys name! Can you help us? ?

I like names like Braden, Brady or Declan. My husband likes Sabastian. We have a 3 year old named Benjamin and are expecting another baby in February. We don't know what we are having yet, but already have narrowed girl's names down to either Brielle or Olivia. Any input or new suggestions on boys names would be great! I like different, but not too different.

We can't agree on a baby boys name! Can you help us? ?
well how about getting one as a middle or second name that way for example if you say branden sebastian you and your husband will be happy
Reply:First of all I just wanna say that Olivia and Brielle are both gorgeous names. I like Braden, Declan and Sabastian except spelt Sebastian. I think that I would go with Declan or Sebastian though as Braden is awfully common at the moment :)
Reply:I have an angel baby named Sebastian so I am partial to that.

Some other nice boys names that are different are

Reply:Braden.
Reply:I like Brady and Olivia
Reply:what about AIDEN or JONATHAN OR DAMIAN....AND for a gurl JASLYN
Reply:Why not wait until the child is 5 yrs old and ask him/her?
Reply:I like unique names as well. I really like Brayson, Ryland, Kenyan, Keegan, Coulter, Colton, Waylon, Bishop, Leland, Zane, Cale. Hope some of the suggestions help you guys. If we have a nother son we are going with Waylon Cale. By the way, I REALLY like Brielle.
Reply:Of course I love Declan, but I feel Sabastian fits in better with Benjamin. Either split the name--you get first name and he gets the middle. Or you name this child and he names the next.

TX Mom

Reply:Braedon Sebastian is cute.....

If you call him Braedon you can call him Brady for short :)

Or

Brady Sebastian flows better..but both are cute.

I love Olivia for a girl go with that.

x
Reply:The only reason I don't like the name Sebastian is because the only shortening of it is Sebass, and then your son sounds like a fish.

But I love it for a middle name.
Reply:Olivia is a pretty name. And I do like Braden. Good luck and congrat's on your new addition. =)
Reply:I love Sebastian. Declan is also nice but Sebastian and Benjamin go together well. Braden and Brady are nice names but very very common.
Reply:BRAD SEBASTIAN
Reply:i love the name Davis for a boy there are not many of them out there

Boys name to go with twin Mikayla Rose?

Reply:If understand your posting correctly, then you are searching for a name that rhymess with, or fit well with the name Mikyla Rose...correct?

Like yourself I also I have twins (identical twin boys) and we wrestled with names. We finally decided on names that had a nice flow to that specific name itself. But the first names fit into a theme. Now it just so happen that the name we chose fit into two different themes. People in the Bible and famous distance runners. Note: this also includes my oldest son as well who is not a twin.

If your children are very identical (meaning that they do not have any sublet physical characteristics [e.g. dimples] that it can make thing confusing for people who are trying to address that by their correct name, After all, they are only identical on the outside. Inside they are not exactly the same the do and will hit the same developmental milestones at different time and they will have specific behavioral characteristics.

Good luck with whatever you choose in names. Twins are a very special gift. You are in for a lot of fun. Enjoy them while that are small, they grow fast but most of all love them dearly!

What do you think of Liam Rearden McKee for a boys name?

Liam means unwavering protector and has roots in ireland and scottland, Rearden means the small poet king, Rearden is the last name of Hank rearden in Atlas shrugged. Can you think of any mean names kids might call him on the playground? thanks everyone. also how do you think it goes with Katherine elizabeth and Niall Vincent? thanks

What do you think of Liam Rearden McKee for a boys name?
The name sounds fine, but I want to point out that kids don't tease other kids because of a funny name. They look for the insecure children with low self esteem. It wouldn't matter if his name was Chuck Norris or Weasel McGeasle.

No one is going to make fun of a Weasel if they know his wit and self confidence can bite.
Reply:I like the name Liam a lot. I could do without the Rearden to be honest with you though. Not a fan over here, sorry. :(
Reply:Nice. You can spell the middle name "Riordan" as well. I could be wrong, but believe that this way is the more authentic spelling.

It goes with the last name ethnically. Very good choice.
Reply:WOW;; a little over the top, isn't it?; Liam is a nice name but the Rearden?? of course he'd always go by Liam and no one would use his middle name, so maybe it's allright...as for nicknames, they are not always what we want them to be!! I"d think maybe he'd be called "Lee" for Liam, but you never know!! The other two names are very nice!!
Reply:I'd avoid "Rearden".

You're just asking for him to get ridiculed at school.
Reply:I can definitely think of names kids would call him, first that comes to mind is rear-end. I think it's a nice name though and he'll eventually grow into it.
Reply:I personally would never chose this..... its a name that will haunt him all through school. ( I had my name changed at 18)
Reply:No child is ever safe on the playground when it comes to being ridiculed. But I would suggest not using Reardon.
Reply:I personally don't like it. It sounds weird to me
Reply:Very Irish! Maybe dumb bullies will call him Lima Bean?
Reply:sounds good to me
Reply:if you put Rearden in it kids would probably call him rear-end or something but kids are harsh and will come up with a nick-name for anything
Reply:I like it. I don't worry about meanings for names - most people will never be aware of the meaning, they will just like (or not like) how it sounds. It sounds like a very strong name, and not matter what name you give him some little kid will likely find a way to make fun of it.

I think it goes well with Katherine Elizabeth but I'm not sure how to pronounce the second name. Is it like "Neal"? I'm not as crazy about that.
Reply:I like the name, very much. Nice meanings. As for name calling kids can always come up with something, such is life.
Reply:If you spell Rearden they tradional way, it's nice.

Most kids will never know his middle name. No one ever knew mine until I told them.

And you can take a name Like "Nicole" for example, and kids are gonna rhymm it with something like Pickle! No name is safe.

Do you consider the name Rory a boys name or a girls?

This was one of the names I initally had picked out for a baby girl when I found out I was pregnant with this child :) I love it. I'm not sure if it's because of Gilmore Girls but I always thought of it as a girls name. My hubby says otherwise. We are preggy with a boy and are trying to agree on something. I love the name. What do you think?

Thanks.

Do you consider the name Rory a boys name or a girls?
Are you my long lost twin... lol... I wanted Rory soooooo badly! For either a boy or girl, but liked it espeshally for a girl, due to most likely gilmore girls, (my fav show) but either way I love that name and had my husband let me, my daughter would have had that name, and again if he'd let me my son would have that name! LOL but he wont budge. I think it's either, but heard from many more of a boys name.
Reply:rory is an ancient irish name. translated to irish its RuaRi (roo-a-ree) which means red haired king. im from ireland and no females are ever called this its presumed as a male name because of its origins Report Abuse

Reply:Both! I really like this name too! Its between this and Cash!
Reply:I've seen it used for both. I heard it as a boys name first.
Reply:yeah I'm a big Gilmore Girls fan so i could only ever name a Daughter Rory never a son.
Reply:It could be both.I tend to think of Aurora for a girls name but either way is good.
Reply:We had a boy dog named "Rory."
Reply:I cant picture a boy having that name Rory.

In Gilmore girls isn't Rory a nick name? Thought it was short for something.

But i like the name for a girl.
Reply:Rory seems like a boys name to me, but I think I know inside myself that its unisex XD
Reply:girl...but i've heard it for both
Reply:i think it is a predomanantly male name... but a very lovely nickname for a girl with the name Aurora

If you like Rory for a boy... also condsider...

Reply:A boys name, like Rory Calhoun. An old cowboy actor that always played the sheriff. Looked a little like Ronald Reagan, but could act.
Reply:I think it's unisex. I knew a boy named Rory and then you have the character from Gilmore Girls. I think it's a cute name either way. Congratulations!
Reply:I like it for both, but when I think of Rory I think boy

Like Rory Hennessy off 8 simple rules :)
Reply:Unless you or he have direct connections to the UK Rory is a serious girls name. Even then it is a girls name.

Worary, no worries, roary, your momma wwrorries, you have rwarts, etc.
Reply:I like it for a boy and it was one of the names we had picked out for Jackson originially but he didn't like it in general so we didn't go with it. But, I love it for a boy.
Reply:Definately girl name...Gilmore Girls rocks, and I couldn't imagine calling a little boy Rory.
Reply:I think of it as a girls' name. It would be too weird to name a boy that.
Reply:I think it is traditionally used for boys, so it is fair game for your son.

But yes, there are more and more girls called Rory these days, probably helped along by the younger of the Gilmore Girls. The character's given name, you might recall, was actually Lorelai.
Reply:In my opinion, Rory can be used as either a boy or a girl's name. it sounds good either way
Reply:I think it sounds more like a boy name, but could be both.
Reply:I always think of boys for Rory but dont know what its short for.

not much help really.

But i like OLLIE and Richie
Reply:Forget the modern rubbish, Rory is a boys name, it is Celtic and I think the original spelling was Rhiori. It is a lovely "manly" name.

Congrats on your new baby boy xx
Reply:Rory is typically a boys name, but I did enjoy it as a girls' name on Gilmore Girls...

Your hubby is right.
Reply:It's a boy's name, but one that will get him beaten up at school every single day.

What's wrong with normal names like Ned, Steve, Joe, Scott, Shawn, Jake, Dave, Dan, John, Tom, etc etc.
Reply:both
Reply:boy name
Reply:completely unisex. I like it as a nn for Gregory and Aurora...

for 2006 it was ranked 826/1000 for males and not in the top 1000 for females...in 2003 it was 987/1000 for females and 643/1000 for males...
Reply:I have only known Rory to be a boy/guy name
Reply:I'd definitely say boy. when i hear it i picture a 6-7year old boy playing in the mud in his backyard :D i think its cute for a boy
Reply:Rory for a girl is short for Aurora. Rory for a boy is probably short for Riordan of something. I'd give him a longer name, and use Rory as a nickname. I like it, it's not played out like Riley.
Reply:yeuch! sorry it makes me think of some upper class twit who can't pronounce his R's so says, "hi!, i'm Woary!"

Or: Travis, Gabriel, Theodore, Nathan, Joel, Isaac, Simon, Landon, Nicholas, Frederic, Milo (one of my favorite names ever), Riley, Henry, Edmund, Marco (another favorite), Quentin, etc. Jake, Alex, and Sam? What do you think of the boys name "Holden"?

I thought it was cute when I first heard it but am trying to decide how much I like it - if its going on the list to consider or not

What do you think of the boys name "Holden"?
Oh my gosh! Catcher in the Rye! You should put on your list to consider, or atleast put Halden, with a nickname of Hal? Don't pay attention to rude remarks; i think it's a cute name
Reply:It's a really nice name and a unique one....compared to tons of other names!
Reply:In school that could lead to massive picking on as he gets older and the kids get more rude. For example Holden my n*ts, Do you mind Holden the toilet paper, How does it feel Holden your thumb up your a**?

I know I will probably get thumbs down but I'm just telling the truth.

What do you think of the boys name, Reuben?

Hi everyone,

We are so stuck for boys names. We have so many for a girl, Ruby and Ella being our favourites but at our scan last week the woman gave us a hint that our baby is a boy!

I quite like normal names like, Jack, Daniel and Joshua but my hubby doesn't but then I heard Reuben, which I think is quite nice.

What do you think?

Thank you xx

What do you think of the boys name, Reuben?
Reuben is a hebrew name, it means behold a son, or renewer.

I knew a Reuben many years ago, and his family were not jewish.

Reuben, sounds manly and strong

If you like the name that is all that matters.
Reply:I like the name Reuben but then you have a sandwich that most kids hate named that. Then you have the song Reuben, Reuben. Then you have the nickname Rue which they learn in about the 5th grade english class means regrets. Admittedly you could call him Ben but there's no guarantees other kids will.

My sons are Jeremy Ross %26amp; Michael Zachary. The oldest can go by J.R. professionally and Michael is a creative sort so M.Z., Zach, etc goes well. The names are a little unusual (except of course Michael) but not so unusual they invite teasing.

I also like the name Demitri which is Russian for James but then you have the Demi nickname.

There are all kinds of websites with boys name and their meaning. We went by not only the sound of the name but it's meaning. That's another way to stress your love for them 24/7 and long after you're gone. I know several who were named that way and brag about how much their parents wanted them to know their high hopes and love for them through their names.

In the olden days the first born male often got his paternal grandfather's first name %26amp; mother's maiden name for his middle name. That's kinda neat too because it helps them learn early the importance of the name they carry and pride in keeping it untarnished.
Reply:sounds mexican.
Reply:It's funny how old traditonal Jewish names like Reuben and Joshua are so fashionable now. When I was young no one had those names except the middle aged and elderly people in my local syanagogue.

Reuben is ok if you plan on becoming a Rabbi! Also gets shortened to Rube or Ruby which sound feminine.
Reply:I like the name Reuben. It's very nice!
Reply:Reuben - lovely biblical name ( Josephs older brother I believe!!). i also like Elliott and Jacob!!
Reply:Ok if you are jewish.
Reply:Reuben, is an ok name... but i wouldn't like to grow up with it.
Reply:i knew a Reuben and everyone called him Ruby!

i like the name, if it feels right when he is born, so be it!!!

congrats!
Reply:If you like the name then go for it - check it goes with your surname and that the initials do not spell out something stupid for the child.
Reply:Reuben is not my most favourite I have to admit. Try the website below, it's great for names and meanings! Congratulations! :-D

http://www.babynamesworld.com/
Reply:Um, its nice, but it reminds me of the guy from Road Trip.

What about Gideon? Or Graydon?? Traditional names are great too, like Henry and Edward and George. They're rarely used now. I don't know anyone by those names any more.
Reply:reuben makes me think of an old grey man with a messy beard, dont know why, thats only my opinion though, if you like it go with it

good luck
Reply:It sounds great
Reply:Hi, I like Reuben i think it is a lovely name. My daughter is 26 weeks pregnant, she has not found out the sex of her baby, if it's a boy his name will be Louie, if it's a girl her name will be Mia.
Reply:It's nice and unique as well as original.

Reply:Are you Jewish my dear? I think you'll find it is a jewish name nothing wrong with that of course though your child may take a ribbing when he gets older you know how cruel folk can be. you only have to look at the Q%26amp;A's on the McCanns to realise that.
Reply:i think it's a cute name ^o^
Reply:Hate it. Sorry. But ick! Stick with Jack or any of your other choices, but dump Reuben.
Reply:its a beautiful name

i know two ruebens , both rabbis and both have a very good aura
Reply:Reuben is a nice name. I used to know a Reuben who was in my class in middle school. Really nice guy. Also heard that a Belgian painters last name is Reubens. Congratulations and good luck on the naming.
Reply:yes i like reuben although it is a popular name at the moment. there are 2 reubens in my daughters nursery, but i still like it.
Reply:i actually like reuben... it's a good choice.
Reply:hmm... its alright, not bad, but not my favourite. but personally, I like the names Emmett, Avery, Levi, Jacob(Jake), Landon, Laurent, Wesley (or Westley), River, Nathaniel (the name sounds kinda weird, but the short form "Nate" is what I really love), Rain, Kyle, Julius, Evan, Jasper, and Henry (look up Henry Cavill, hes absolutely gorgeous which is why I love teh name)

I hope you decide on a nice name!! good luck!! hope this helps!!
Reply:I like Reuben alot, it's different but not so different that it is ridiculous!
Reply:I love the name Reuben. It's not used much and it sounds masculine. I like the spelling Ruben better though.
Reply:i really like reuben it's very unusual ..go for it.x
Reply:i dont really like Reuben but Robin is similar and its nice! Matthew is a nice name aswell!
Reply:I really like the name Ruben. It's quite popular at the moment, and not confined to any one religion. I know two lovely little boys called Ruben - very bright as well!
Reply:Reuben is like a geek's name, like Eugene. I like Karl Jack.
Reply:I like it. I used to know a Reuben in high school. He was a bit odd, though, and it put me off the name for a while.

I also like Rupert.

Do you see the name Jamari as being a girls or boys name?

I was thinking about naming my baby this if I have a boy but when I look it up on most websites, it has it listed as a girls name.

What do you think? Thanks for answering!

Do you see the name Jamari as being a girls or boys name?
I think it definitely sounds like it would be for a boy. It reminds me of the name "Omari" which I know a lot of boys are named :)
Reply:my aunt named her new adopted 6months old son jamarre

i think that it is a very versatile name

it can go for both boy or girl

do not care what they have to say on the internet...it is what you think and feel suits best counts more...
Reply:I like it for a boy, it doesn't matter what the sites say, it is how you feel. Boy! I have also heard Amari for a boy, so....do what you feel. Also I have a guy friend named Jamarr.
Reply:i think its a guys name, jamaro, or jamari sound guy. jamara sound girl.
Reply:How it would be pronounced sounds like a boy, but the spelling is a little "girlish" if there is such a thing.

Congratulations!
Reply:I went to school with a kid named Jamari and another named Ahmari... both boys... it doesn't sound very feminine to me.
Reply:That baby name can go both ways and it is very appropriate for a boy or girl.
Reply:Neither, really. James is a nice boys name and Jamie or Jana are nice girls names though.
Reply:Jamari Tamara

Definitely girl name!
Reply:Jamar is a boy's name. Maybe some ppl will think that Jamari is a girl's name.
Reply:I think you would make it more masculine by spelling it Jamauri.
Reply:Too ghetto in my opinion.
Reply:I think it could go both ways..if you like it, use it..

Terrance is also nice.. even though you didnt ask :).
Reply:Boy
Reply:Sounds feminine.

I would only consider it for a girl.

Good luck!
Reply:a boys name, it sounds more like a boys name
Reply:it does sound feminine, but i think it would be cute for a boy too.
Reply:Sounds girly!
Reply:To me it sounds unisex.
Reply:it does sound unisex, but it's a nice boys name.
Reply:That my niece's middle name but I think both!!
Reply:its pretty! but it sound like a unisex name!! so0o your in the money!

Is Reilly a girls or boys name?

I've heard it as both but is it more boy or girl...and also I heard for a boy and girl it's spelled different ways so is Riley or Reilly girl or boy?

Is Reilly a girls or boys name?
Reilly and Riley are 10000% boy names. I hate Riley, Reilly, Rylee, Rylie, Ryeleigh, etc on girls. It's very very masculine to me.
Reply:I completely agree that Reilly and Riley are 10000% boy names! I may well be the first-ever boy to be named Reilly (I was born in the early '60s). The only other Riley (not Reilly, mind you) I'd ever heard of growing up was pro football player Riley Odoms. So there - it's a BOY'S name!! ;-) Report Abuse

Reply:It can be both and I think it's an absolutely adorable name for either a girl or a boy. My neighbor's daughter is named that.

I think for a girl Reilly, Reilley, Rilee, Rylee, Rileigh, Ryley. Rylee and Rileigh are my favs.

For some reason, to me Riley is the only one that really seems to be a good spelling for a boy. Just my opinion, I don't know why.

Cute, cute name though!
Reply:It was originally a boys name. But mother's are trying to be unique in the naming of their daughter's, and therefore it has now become a girls name aswell. I like it as a girls name better. Riley Isabella.
Reply:I have a daughter named Ryleigh but I also like the name for a boy, spelled Reilly. I think it's a name that is truly unisex. It's neither overtly masculine or feminine, that's why it works well for either sex.
Reply:I know a boy named Riley. However, I have also heard it as a girl's name, too. I think Reilly looks more feminine, and Riley looks more masculine. Rylie is also one way to spell it for a girl.
Reply:that's actually my husband's dog's name.

But I think Riley sounds more like a girl's name to me (although that dog is actually a boy, so)
Reply:I like the way the name sounds as more for a girl. But if you spell it Reilly it seems more masculine. I think Riley or Rylee is more girlie looking! Great name by the way!
Reply:It is both I love that name. but I spell it Riley
Reply:depends i think its like naming your kid rover personally lol its a dogs name not a persons name
Reply:Riley can be a girl or a boy.
Reply:I've heard both, but spelling it Reilly looks more girly to me
Reply:BOY NAME
Reply:its a girl name dont use it for a boy
Reply:girls
Reply:I thought it was a boy's name!!! It surly does sound like one!!!!

What do you think of Shiloh as a boys name?

Do you think its to feminine to be a boys name? Even tho the dog Shiloh was a boy?

What do you think of Shiloh as a boys name?
Picture a grown man named Shiloh. Cute for a boy(well, not really) but defiently not very manly.
Reply:QUEER name for a boy. Name the boy Huck
Reply:Goes either way, but Brangelina has contaminated it, so I would NEVER consider for my own kids now.
Reply:becuase of the pitt-jolie people i think of it as girly now- but it WAS a boy dog...
Reply:I know a guy named Shiloh, hes very nice.I like it for a boy. I dont think of the dog movie i think of that guy and the church i used to go to as a kid, Shiloh Baptist Church.

But i like it for a boy not girl.
Reply:i think it could work as a baby or little boy, not so sure about a grown man. i like it though, its very cute=)
Reply:Shiloh is a good name for a boy. I have always liked that name for a boy. If you like it that is all that matter's.
Reply:No, it's too girly. Would go with a more masculine name.
Reply:don't like it for either one
Reply:I like it as a boy's name. Shiloh for a girl just doesn't sound as good to me. The name Shiloh always looked like a boy's name to me even before Angelina named her girl that.
Reply:Dont you mean "Guy-Blow"?

-Grandma's Boy
Reply:Shiloh can be both a girl and a guy it's your choice
Reply:I don't like it for a boy. I also think that it will be associated with a girl because of Angelina's baby. It just doesn't sound very masculine.
Reply:Shiloh is ok for a boy. I think It can go either way. Shilah can be for a girl. If it seems too iffy, then you probably shouldnt go with it!
Reply:I love the name Shiloh and think it could go either way easily. I have always liked it and if Angelina and Brad didn't name their daughter that I don't think anyone would have ever imagined being a girls name anyway. Shiloh Evan is adorable.

Either that or,

Shiloh Isaiah

Shiloh Avery

Shiloh Ross

Shiloh Reese.

Good luck!
Reply:Sorry, Brad and Angelina coined Shiloh as a girls name last year.
Reply:I have heard it both ways.
Reply:Shiloh Isaiah
Reply:I can't say I like it for anyone, even the dog
Reply:I would name a girl name Shiloh

I would nam a boy dog Shiloh, by not a boy

Congratulaitons
Reply:Shiloh means Peace.

It's also one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War.

You associate it with a dog.

Everyone else thinks of the daughter of Brad and Angelina.

So far, not sure why you'd go with this. How about Geoffrey or Jeffrey - also means Peace. (So does Siegfried - but I wouldn't go that route.)
Reply:Well I think that everyone will associate it with Shiloh Jolie-pitt who is a girl.

I personally do not think it is either feminine or masculine.
Reply:if its what you like its your choice i think its fine either way
Reply:not keen
Reply:Shiloh is like one of those Unisexual names like Jessie or Lynn (i know both men and women with those names) however with shiloh i'll always associate it with the dog... But if you like the name... there's no way of me (or anyone else) from stopping you. Unless it's your spouse. then they have a legitimate say in the name.

What do you think of Grant for a boys name?

Grant is a wonderful name. It sounds like a powerful, masculine name. Puts me in the mindset of a very personable, witty, young executive. Loving life!!! Go for it!

Try:

Grant Michael

Grant Dominic

Grant Nico (call him Nico or Nick)

What do you think of Grant for a boys name?
Great. I like it
Reply:There are more cool names than Grant. But if you want it , nobody can stop you.
Reply:i really like it! very manly and easy to spell and someone will not stick this on a poor baby girl!!!!good luck!
Reply:Beats the pants off Sue.
Reply:Terrific Name, but it really depends on the last name, if you had a last name that was a proper noun like, Stone, Lien or

Matter you wouldn't want to name him Grant, but otherwise I think it is a wonderful name, very strong sounding.
Reply:I LUV IT. THE NAME HAS GOT A TING TO IT.
Reply:sounds cute
Reply:I LOVE the name Grant...go with it. Do you have a middle name picked out?
Reply:STRONG %26amp; SOLID, and the name lends a feeling of giving on the Grant's behalf.
Reply:I love it. I needed to name my eldest son with a name that started with G. (Family tradition). I guess Goober was a poor choice.
Reply:Great masuline name.

He might get picked on in the South. General Grant was in charge of the Northern Army in the Civil War.
Reply:Very nice. Not so common and yet not so unusual to draw any ridicule. It is a famous name as well.. Nice name easily said. Good choice.
Reply:Love it.

My 5 year old son is Grant. (His twin is Audrey Anna)

The name is not overly popular, trendy, or too unusual.

The name is strong and solid.

Also love the name Graham, Graeme. I've met a little boy with this name. Has a softer feel, more of a gentleman.
Reply:Very nice! Love it. Very sophisticated sounding name.
Reply:I don't like it - sorry
Reply:cool but there are better =)
Reply:I love it. Probably because I know a 4 year old boy with that name and he is just the sweetest kid I've ever had the pleasure to meet so I associate that name with him.
Reply:It's almost always been kindof an unusual name and certainly is liked by many women for many years (see graph at link below). Just not a name I would pick myself, but I've known one or two Grants over the years.
Reply:I love it ! Grant sounds like a 'great, grand man' . I think of and 'grand slam home run' ( for a boy) and 'grant me a wish' ( for his sweetheart) - all positive associations. I would think it would be a great name for a boy to have throughout life. If he has grandchildren he can be "Grant-pa" ..fun

An important thing, especially for a boy, is that it sounds well with the last name. A good overall name is an advantage in life.

What is the boys name that can't be used as a windows file name ?

I think it starts with N ? Why can't it be used ? Was Bill Gates bullied by a person of that name ?

What is the boys name that can't be used as a windows file name ?
any name can be used for naming files in windows but a few filenames can't b used by just trying to rename like CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN or NUL.

to name any folder/file with the name con type "mkdir con\" in command prompt
Reply:every boys name can used as a windows file name. you can use what boys name you want.
Reply:Strange question you have but there is no such evidence that no particular name cant be used

depends on your style...

Gabriel - meaning "strong man of God"

Geoffrey - meaning "peaceful God"

George - meaning "farmer, earthworker"

Gideon - Means "feller" or "hewer"

Gregory - meaning "watchful, alert"

Griffin/Griffith - meaning "prince" or the creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle

Gage - meaning "measure"

Galen - meant "calm"

Gareth - meaning "harmless"

Gavin - "white hawk"

Glen - meaning "valley"

Greer - meaning "watchful, alert"

Hope your able to find something that matches your style!

You might want to look at the genealogy of his family and see what other "G" names have been used. In my family Gideon was used a lot. Repeating family names is much more meaningful that some current craze "cute" name.

What do you think of my baby boys name?

What do you think of my baby boys name? I'm naming him Gavin Charles Lee after my cousin Gary Lee and best friend Kevin Charles who have passed away within the last couple years. I think it's a great name however, my family don't I like it becuase he will be named after deceased people and they think it's improper to have two middle names.

What do you think because I realy love the name?

What do you think of my baby boys name?
I think its a great name!

I don't know what they mean by 'improper'. It gives the child a chance to choose what he wants to be called when he is older.

It's not just naming the baby after deceased people its giving your child a name that you love, that means something to you.
Reply:I really like it a lot. I have a son who's middle name is after someone his dad and I worked with but passed away before he was born. He was the nicest guy and he died of a brain tumor. I don't think it's bad to name someone after someone who has passed away. I also don't think it's bad to give your baby two middle names. You also have to do what you think is right because it is your baby and if you love the name, that is all that matters. I also think it is nice to honor someone in a name! Good luck!
Reply:I like it. And there is nothing wrong with having two middle names. I know little boys that have two first names and I thought nothing of it. Its also a wonderful idea to name your baby after a friend and a cousin who are no longer with us. You can tell the story to your child when he's old enough, as to how you decided on his name. And there are lots of people who name their children after deceased grandparents and great grandparents, so I see nothing wrong with it at all.
Reply:firstly it's not improper to have more than one middle names, royalty and stately people have many middle names

Secondly I do understand what they mean by being named after the deceased

Personally I would maybe use the name Gavin (combination of the two) and have that as a middle name then have another name as a first name and maybe another middle name

There again, it's your decision completly and you need to feel 100% sure so its up to you
Reply:I don't see a problem with 2 middle names, especially where you have them to honor people, and not just "because I can't decide!"

I think that Gavin Charles Lee is a fabulous name--you should definitely keep it. Just remind folks that it's your baby, and you're the one who will have to listen to him complain if they're right and he hates his name.

Congrats on your great taste!!
Reply:It is great, I think it is more of an honor than something negative that your family is making it out to be. It is your and your spouses decision so do what you guys want to do, no matter what they think. If you are also hung up on the double middle name thing why don't you combind them like Charlees Or Learles or Lee-Charles? LOL Sorry if they sound goofy, but work on it!
Reply:I think it's great. I love all those names. And I don't think it's "improper" to have two middle names. I am fighting with MYSELF (lol) right now, because I want my next child, if a girl, to have my middle name (Linn) and also my moms (Rena) so I'm stuck as what to do. I think the name you have chosen is great. Good job!!!
Reply:Its not 'improper ' to have 2 middle names. In fact Prince Charles has about 4 or 5. Why do you discuss names with your family anyway. It should be private between you and your husband and after the baby is born, you make the announcement of his name! If they dont like it too bad.I think it is a nice tribute to your cousin and friend. Plus it isnt after two dead people , it is after the mayor of San Francisco tell them! That ought to shut them up.! LOL
Reply:I love it!!!! It could be Gavin Charles Lee or Gavin Lee Charles....There is nothing wrong with giving your child 2 middle names....My daughter has 2 middle names....Kaylee Ann Lacy....KAY- is my middle name, LEE is my older brothers middle name, ANN is my moms middle name, LACY is my younger brothers name....he hates it but he was named after his grandfather....Lacy Earl, he only went by Earl....But Shawn Lacy sounded better than Shawn Earl....lol
Reply:I really love the name and the fact it has meaning behind it makes it even more desirable and beautiful :)

Its your child, not your families.

Just name him and then introduce hum as gavin after he is born. Don't give them the option of telling you what to name your child. This reason is why im not telling any of my family except OH what my child will be named :)

xx
Reply:i think its a wonderful name. i have a stillborn brother whose middle name is howard after my pa who passed away before he was born, and it doesnt matter what your family thinks about the name their still going to love and adore the baby(i hope) and i'm named after a friend of my moms who was killed when she was 16 and i think its an honor. and i know a ton of people with two middle names it is not improper.

good luck%26lt;3
Reply:I think that's a great idea, and also a very nice name. It flows well and has a great and special meaning. I don't think there's anything wrong with having two middle names, in fact, it's becoming more-and-more popular.
Reply:I really like the name Gavin. It is a little long to have two middle names but I know people who have dealt with it being theirs. It's a nice gesture and at least when people ask he'll have a story to tell about the double naming.
Reply:he is your son, name him whatever you like. every one on earth has a name that was most likely used by some one now deceased. George (Washington/Bush) John (Adams/Kennedy) Robert (E. Lee/ me B.) etc. Just don't name him Sue.
Reply:I think Gavin Charles Lee is a unique and very Good name

Reply:Great name! The meanings are wonderful.
