What do you think of the boys name Arius?

Its Greek and means "immortal". But I don't know how people would automatically pronounce it. I like it only pronounced ARE-ee-us, with nn Ari. But I do not like the sound AIR-ee-us. What do you think? How would your pronounce it if you saw this name? Thanks =)

I Dont like it sorry plus it doesnt matter how awesome the meaning is when he is getting beaten up at school for having a strange name...kids can be really nasty little creatures..boys names are harder because they are boys at least with girls they can get away with unusual names... Sorry.

Reply:I knew a kid named Arius when I was in school. We all thought he had the coolest name ever. It was pronounced as "air-ee-us" though. I like either pronunciation.

Reply:I would pronounce it AIR-ee-us, as would most people I think, so if you went with that name, it'd constantly be mispronounced...not a fan of it at all though, sorry.

Reply:I thin it is very pretty, I have a friend whos name is Arius,,,she spells it ERIS I have never heard for it before but I really like it!
