What do you think about this boys name Leithan Reade?

Leithan Reade (call him Leith)

by the way if you prononuce it the way I spell it you are pronouncing it wrong. example: (lathan) same name spelled different.

What do you think about this boys name Leithan Reade?
I don't care for it.
Reply:Sorry, I don't really like it either. But if you do really like it, then still use it. You and your son are the ones that have to live with the name.
Reply:its f'ing horrible....he will get beat up a lot....
Reply:I went to school with a boy who was named Leithan (same spelling). I always loved his name because it wasn't too out there but it was different.
Reply:You had to tell us how to pronounce it--that right there should tell you it's not a good choice.

He will have to pronounce it for every person who tries to read it. He will also have to spell it for every person who hears it.

It also reminds me of the word "lethal" which is not something I would want people thinking of when they heard my child's name.

Reade should be spelled Reid. It's already a unique name, there's no need to screw with the spelling.

I'm really not trying to be rude...I'm just trying to make sure you think about it before you name your child something you might regret.

How about Ethan Reid?
Reply:Use a normal name...don't burden your kid.
Reply:I hate it. Sounds like someone with a speech impediment everytime you say it.
Reply:It's ok. I prefer Reade spelled Reid.
Reply:I don't really like it.
Reply:I love the name Leithan and the spelling of Reade. Nice combo. Please don't name him leithan just to call him Leith, that's so silly. Just name him Leith if you want to call him Leith.
Reply:Almost as interesting as my other family boys names Satorius Jaden, Icarus McGregor, Andros Sabre, Excelsior Knight, my son's name Kamdor Ninjor and my real middle name Darkonda. Good for you! But you might have to keep telling others how to pronounce it.
Reply:Lathan is the correct pronounciation? That sounds really weird to me and made up. I like the middle name Reade. But what about spelling it Reed? I imidiately thinking of reading a book when I see it spelled that way. Reed looks like a name.
Reply:It's okay, not my favorite-how about John Carson or Christopher John?
