Would you consider Brynn a boys name or a girls name?

Just curious... I think it's a boy's name. Also, you like it for a boy?

Would you consider Brynn a boys name or a girls name?
Really? I think it's 100 percent girl.
Reply:Personally I love it as a middle name for a girl... I want to use it if I have a daughter. However everyone is always telling me its horrible for a girl because its masculine, but to me it's like lynn or what not.

I would never consider using it on a boy, it just seems very girly to me! And it's popularity as of late is as a girls name, not boys. Most websites will also tell you either a girls name, or neutral.
Reply:It's definitely a boy's name, it's Welsh and it means 'hill'. I also know a boy with that name, and there are a few famous Welsh men and male characters with the name. I think, like with a lot of boy's names, people have started to use it on girls - but that doesn't make it a girl's name. It's just a boy's name that some people use on girls.

"The name Bryn is a baby boy name. The name Bryn comes from the Welsh origin. In Welsh The meaning of the name Bryn is: Hill. Many Welsh place names begin with the word 'Bryn'."
Reply:my first instinct was a girls name. the only thing boyish about it is its simplicity, the single syllable. But then again.. It looks like it is pronounced brinn. as in "in" and not brian, which I hope isnt what you were going for, cause that would just confuse people. :) I dont think I would use that name for either, I guess. It just doesnt really flow in my opinion. Like you want to open your to say something more but you are clenching your teeth and all the comes out is a muffled "brynn." lol sorry if I made that confusing sounding.
Reply:I think it sounds like a girl's name and no, I do not like it for a boy. Sorry.

If you like the sound and want it to be for a boy, go for Brent.
Reply:I would say both but to me I see it as a girls only because my cousin may use Brynn for the middle name of her daughter(Her 1st daughter due in 2 1/2 months!!!! she has beautiful boys too!!!)

But for a boy also works well!
Reply:Brynn or Brynne- definately girl

Bryan or Byran- definately boy
Reply:I would consider it a girl's name. And, no, I don't particularly like it for boys.
Reply:Actually; I like it for both.

For the girl all you need is a nice feminine middle name.

My cousin named one of her daughters Sadie Brynn.
Reply:I would say girl name... I know a girl that named her daughter Brynn. I think it's cute for a girl but not a boy.
Reply:I have only known girls named Brynn, But then, I knew a boy named Shirley once.
Reply:I think of it as a girls name. I don't care for it either way though.
Reply:Girls name. There was a Real World cast member by that name. I love it though!!

Reply:Girl.
Reply:sounds like a girls name to me
