What do you think of Manhattan for a boys name?

I am 3 months prego and my boyfriend wants to name our baby Manhattan if its a boy and Naveah if its a girl. What are yuor honest opinions?

What do you think of Manhattan for a boys name?
My honest opinion is that I don't like either names. Naveah is a misspelled version of "Heaven" backwards and Manhattan is too long and is also the name of a dirty city (I'm from there, I know) :)

Good luck.
Reply:love it!!!!

totally unique

very hip names

i also like constance for a girl

and Easy for a boy!
Reply:personally i think Manhattan is kinda weird, but it's definitely up to you. i mean it's definitely not out there and it is unique. after you find out the sex (if you decide to) you should start calling him or her those names and see how much you like it. People are calling their kids all kinds of names and maybe that one will work for him quite well.
Reply:I dont like it
Reply:Manhattan would remind me of the city and Naveah sounds like a guys name. there are better names out there.
Reply:That's actually pretty cool! Consider shortened versions, though and see if you still like the name, such as "Man" and "Manny."
Reply:They are terrible names! Try again honey!
Reply:for the boy did your bf ever thought of naming him Brooklyn i'm if you want to stick with the boros. Manhattan yeah it different but when u name the kind you gotts make sure their name is something they'll be proud of and not some their might get teased for when their in school. Just think about it.
Reply:I'm sorry...mabye because I work in Manhattan and that is just such an everyday word to me, but I think that is totally bizarre!

Neveah is being used so much now and every time someone says the name, right behind it is "Oh, and that is heaven spelled backwards". Thanks for not saying that!

I am all for unique names, but those two just don't do it for me.
Reply:Manhattan is a cool name!!! Very unique. And think, if you were famous (and maybe you are) no one would think twice about the name being weird. I like it. However, I don't really care for Neavah and that's only because it's becoming really common. Congrats on your baby!
Reply:I personally don't go for naming kids after places- cities, states, or otherwise. I think kids get teased enough without adding fuel. I think there are much nicer names out there.
