I'm expecting a boy next month and we both like the name Angel for our son since his older brother and sister are named Antoine and Ayla (eye-la). However i just want to see what other 'A' names are out there that would go with Antoine and Ayla. Thank you so much!
What do you think of the baby boys name Angel?
I tried SO HARD to get this on our short list of boys names. But hubby wouldn't have it. lol.
I watch the joss wheden series of Buffy and Angel, so it seems perfectly normal to me that Angel would be a boys name. And I wouldn't give it a second thought.
I know that a lot of other people would though. (I think this is why hubby didn't like it, he didn't want other ppl mistaking his little man for a girl. guys seems to have more worries about 'turning their boys gay' than women do! lol. not that i think a name turns someone gay. guys are strange sometimes...)
In the end, it's your baby, and you can name him whatever the heck you want to! :D
It was hard enough to get hubby to agree to the middle name 'may' for if we have a boy! 'It's too girly!' I wore him down :D
We'll prolly have a girl anyway after all that 'discussing!' ahaha.
Reply:I really like the name Angel, but if the baby is going to grow up in America, he could be teased for having a "feminine" name or mistakenly identified as a girl when people see the name. If he's going to grow up in a Spanish-speaking place, then I think it's fine.
Other ideas are Angelo, Adan, Armando, Alexander / Alejandro, Aaron, Andrew, and Alonzo.
Reply:dont listin to anyone who says it should be a girls name because it can be a freakin aliens name if u want...try this when thinking of the name gender dont go by what is more popular go by how it sounds and how u imagine your child, i think Angel is a beutiful name suitible for any gender
best wishes for you and your new baby!

Reply:Angel is too feminine for a boy, I think. He'd probably get teased a whole lot growing up and probably even into adulthood, too. Since both of you are quite fond of the name Angel maybe you should look for a name that is similar to Angel, but more masculine. How about something like Angelo?
But whatever you choose is fine. Good luck with your baby! : )
Reply:I love the name Angel for a boy but you might want to think about that because that is the gay cross-dresser's name from rent. I have no problem with that Angel but if you do there is Adam, Aaron, Alex, Allen, or Alfred.
Reply:Angel is pronounced Ong-hel. It is a latino name. If you prounounce it the american way, it is really girly.
Reply:No not for a boy that's horrible. He'll be teased all throughout school. And who will take him seriously when he's older. Angel, please fetch me the coffee. Angel, please file those. Nope, no way
Reply:The only reason I don't like the name is that every kid I've ever met named Angel acts like a little devil!
Reply:Aaron Alejandro
Reply:Excuse me Katherine, lol
Reply:I think its too much of a girls name tbh.
I agree with mountain t, I think Angelo is better for a boy.
Reply:Aiden Aidan Andre
Angel is nice too!
Reply:PLEASE DONT NAME HIM ANGEL ......what a crime!!!!!!! poor future kid
