Reply:to one of the answers

how do you know there has only been one jesus christ? Jesus was a popular name back in the day like Bob or John or Aiden is today.

Christ could have been a common surname, no one really knows now do they?

The parents of Jesus Christ could have as easily named the child Matthew Whatever and then naming your present day sons matthew would be a "sin" in some peoples eyes..

Reply:This is sort of fanatical, don't you think?

Imagine how it's going to sound when you call him from across the room? When his TEACHERS from across the room?

It's disrespectful because your making His name commonplace. If you want your child to become very unique and Christian, just raise him to be so.
Reply:Jesus Christ! What a name!

My God, I hope you're joking!

:)

You are, aren't you? That name worked well for one person, but it wouldn't work so well for anyone else. First of all, it's extremely disrespectful. Second, anytime someone makes a mistake, steps in dog poo, or slams their finger a in a door, do you want them to be yelling your son's name?

If you like the meaning of the name, how about Joshua Christian? Joshua means the same thing as Jesus (they're from the same Hebrew name), and Christian means "Christ-follower."
Reply:I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I believe that only the real Jesus Christ should be given that name. The Bible says that He was given the name above all names, and I don't believe anyone else should be named His name.
Reply:I think that is on the list of forbidden names... kinda lie Adolf hitler

plus not to mention how completely disrespectful it is to Christians and even none Christians

Plus would you want to mock God in that kind of way?
Reply:I usually wouldn't answer a troll, but I'd like to say that naming your child Jesus Christ is as offensive to a practicing Christian as naming your child Cohen is to a practicing Jew. =/
Reply:I don't believe you are serious about the name but I can say this I wouldn't ! That poor kid would take a lot of flak over the years

How about something more appropriate like

Christian Joseph

James Christian
Reply:(thoughts)....he probably won't live very long...

keep him away from the Romans
Reply:how about Jeshua (same meaning as Jesus) or Joshua (also same meaning as Jesus)
Reply:There is only one Jesus Christ and he is the son of the living God so do not name your son Jesus Christ because GOD in heaven would not like that.
Reply:It's just a name. Still, he'd probably get teased a lot, so it's a horrible thing to do to a child.
Reply:love it.

Lol

I don't understand peoples issue with it.

I doubt this great person people always mention that did such great things was even called Jesus.
Reply:that wouldnt be good

1) your child wouldnt be able to live up to Jesus

2) its really disrepectful

3) could really hurt him in the long run, and he'll hate you for naming him that
Reply:I think its insanely disrespectful even if you aren't religious.
Reply:You can't be serious...
Reply:I know you may be trying to honor Jesus, and that's great, but it is EXTREMELY disrespectful. There is only one Jesus Christ
Reply:Thats sooooo disrespectful! You're pretty much calling yourself God.
Reply:ROFLMAO!
Reply:thats really disrespectful...
Reply:You may not mean it this way, but I think it would be disrespectful.

How about Jesse Christopher?
Reply:NO!

Do you want your child to get teased?

You've got to be joking.

Reply:I agree with due March, not very nice.
Reply:are you serious?
Reply:Its alright...a lil too religious for my taste though.
Reply:Are you trying to be funny..?
Reply:Its a cool idea
Reply:Never. If somebody did something and said 'Jesus Christ' he would look over and say "yes, what do you want"
Reply:well, he would certainly have alot to live up to
Reply:Please don't. Do you think your child would like to be named that?
Reply:might be a lot for the little guy to live up to :)
