I know its an odd question but I have a pen pal that I just got and all along I've been thinking he was a boy but recently he\she got married and his or her last name changed... So it makes me think he is a she so I guess thats two questions in one, in japanese culture do boys take girls last names?
In Japan, is the name Haru a girls name or a boys name?
Uhhhhh...i dunno about the marriage thing, but Haru can be both a boy's and a girl's name. Haru means spring
Reply:Not many guys take thier girls last name,but some guys do if a girl is an onlychild or her family has only girls in order to keep her family line. Report Abuse
